Volunteer Opportunities

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Dorchester Habitat for Humanity.

Volunteer opportunities take place on and off the construction site and are available for individuals, corporate groups and businesses, faith groups or organizations, student and youth groups.

Volunteer and get involved now.

Whether you are interested in construction work, home repair efforts, administrative assistance, or helping out at the ReStore, we have a place for you. Other volunteer opportunities include community service, joining a volunteer committee, internships, and becoming a family partner.

Volunteer Waiver

Group Builds

Habitat has many volunteer opportunities for corporations and businesses, faith communities and local organizations to volunteer together. Sponsorship opportunities are available and include additional benefits.

Our volunteers at the ReStore have a lot of roles to fill- from providing helpful customer service to customers to creating DIY projects and displays, repairing furniture, and organizing inventory. We’ll find a place where you’ll fit in and a role that interests you.

Please note: Only volunteers 16 years of age or older are permitted on the construction site.  Volunteers 14 years of age and older are welcome to volunteer in the ReStore. All volunteers must schedule their activities through the Volunteer Coordinator, as we cannot take walk-on volunteers.  We want to be sure that everyone who volunteers with us has a pleasant and rewarding experience, which is why we try to schedule in advance to avoid overcrowding or confusion.
